Product Overview
With patent-pending designs, the ezPatch, ChannelMAX 100A and PatchMAX 100B product series make
patch clamp and two-electrode voltage clamp experiments less labor-intensive and more cost
effective, efficient, repeatable, and space saving. The ChannelMAX 100A combines both
two-electrode voltage clamp and patch clamp setups into one unit. The PatchMAX 100B is
a semi-automated patch clamp setup that can be used for both whole cell and single channel recordings on cultured cells and oocytes.
The ezPATCH is a smart manipulator that can detect cell membrane, and the ez-gSEAL generates pressures for automatic seal and break in.
ez-gSEAL 100B Pressure Controller
The ez-gSEAL 100B is a pressure controller designed mainly for automated patch clamp, but it can be used for many other applications.
With the ez-gSEAL, patch clamp becomes as easy as button click. You may also use the controller for puffing drugs or
studying stretch channels. The software controlled pressure controller comes with pumps so the air tanks are not requried.
ezPATCH 200A Micromanipulator
The ezPatch 200A manipulator is a micromanipulator driven by stepper motors. Its resolution is 47 nm and maximum speed is 2.6 mm/s. It is controlled by
iPod Touch so two axes can be controlled simultaneously. It also can be switched back and forth from manipulator control to the ez-gSEAL pressure control
for easy seal making.
ezPATCH 100A Smart Manipulator
The ezPatch 100A manipulator is a smart manipulator. It has all the functions a manual manipulator has. In addition, it comes with
a computer controlled feedback system so that it can stop precisely after electrode touches cell membrane. The system is ideal for patch clamp.
PatchMAX 100B Automated Patch Clamp System
The PatchMAX 100B is an automated patch clamping system. Controlled by a computer,
the instrument brings the patch pipettes to touch the surface of the cell membrane.
Compared to the high-throughput products on the market, ChannelMAX 100A is much more affordable.
The system can be manually controlled for experiments that need flexibility. It can be upgraded
to a ChannelMAX 100A, which supports both patch clamp and two-electrode voltage clamp.
ChannelMAX 100A Mini Patch Clamp and Two-Electrode Voltage Clamp System
The ChannelMAX 100A Mini is the mini version of the ChannelMAX 100A. Comprising two automated manipulators,
a data acquisition interface board, and software, the system can be used for doing one two-electrode voltage
clamp or two patch clamp experiments. As the system is small and automated, the user can run it
in parallel with a traditional two-electrode voltage clamp system to increase efficiency and save space.
The Mini system can be upgraded to the ChannelMAX 100A Twin.
ChannelMAX 100A Twin MultiChannel Patch Clamp and Two-Electrode Voltage Clamp System
The ChannelMAX 100A Twin comprises four automated manipulators, two perfusion chambers, one data acquisition
control system, and software. You may use the system for two two-electrode voltage clamp experiments,
or up to four patch clamp experiments. This system provides the best value for high throughput experiments.
iNBSController - An application that turns the iPhone, iPod, and iPad into remote controls for the ez-gSEAL Pressure Controller
The iNBSController 1.0 software is an iPod Touch/iPad/iPhone application that is used to control the ez-gSEAL Pressure Controller.
It interfaces with our NBSController through WiFi, allowing the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad to act as remote controls for the
ez-gSEAL pressure controller. The iNBSController can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
Fast Perfusion System
The perfusion system takes advantage of the computer controlled stepper motor and the DAQ board that are included in the ChannelMAX and PatchMAX systems to achieve fast and easy solution changes.
With the specially designed perfusion chamber, making a solution change is as simple as clicking a button, and as fast as 20 ms.
There is no dead space during a solution change.
Automated TEVC Package
The ChannelMAX 100A Mini or Twin is
packaged with Warner Instruments' Oocyte Clamp Amplifier (OC-725C) and Eight Channel Perfusion Valve Control System (VC-8P)
as an integrated system for automated two-electrode voltage clamp.
