NeoBiosystems, Inc. introduces the ChannelMAX 100A Twin, a dual-channel two-electrode voltage clamp and four-channel oocyte patch clamp system.
NeoBiosystems, Inc. today announced the introduction of the ChannelMAX 100A Twin,
a dual-channel two-electrode voltage clamp and four-channel oocyte patch clamp
system. This novel design combines the two-electrode voltage clamp and patch
clamp in one. Armed with a precisely controlled motor, data acquisition board,
software, and a specially designed perfusion chamber, the device drives the electrodes
to impale oocyte or touch the cell membrane without the need for a microscope.
It significantly lowers equipment cost and saves lab space. The new system relieves
researchers from the most labor-intensive part of these experiments and increases
productivity. The ChannelMAX 100A Twin debuts today at the Biophysical Society
Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah.
