NeoBiosystems, Inc. introduces the PatchMAX 100A, an oocyte patch clamp system.
NeoBiosystems, Inc. today announced the introduction of the PatchMAX 100A,
the smallest oocyte patch clamp system. Armed with a computer-controlled motor,
data acquisition board, software, and a specially designed perfusion chamber, the device
drives the electrodes to touch the cell membrane. The software control provides widely
variable approach speeds and proximity criteria for a perfect and consistent touch.
The new system relieves researchers from the most labor-intensive part of these experiments
and increases productivity. The PatchMAX 100A debuts today at the Biophysical Society
Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah.
